About Me
Greetings and salutations, my name is Matthew Andino, but I also go by Hew. I am at my core a storyteller. A storyteller that has the ability and gift to create new worlds full of diverse and unique characters. I’ve been creating these stories since I can remember and have been encouraged by my parents, friends, and family to continue to create. I come from a mixed background of African American and Puerto Rican. That as well as the amazing people around me, plus my experiences with mental health, and being a mixed kid in this world has truly inspired my drive and stories in my art. It has taken a long time and a lot of experiences to grow but I’m doing all of this for the kid inside of me whom is my biggest inspiration for why I keep on pushing to make these worlds a reality.
